100 Best Teachers Honoured on Teachers Day at Atharva University Mumbai

Atharva University Mumbai, in association with Atharva Foundation, hosted a grand Teachers Day Celebration and Best Teacher Award Ceremony at the Atharva University Auditorium, Atharva Educational Campus, Malad West. The event turned into a memorable tribute to educators, reflecting the spirit of gratitude and respect that marks Teachers’ Day.

The celebration honoured 100 distinguished educators from across the Mumbai region with the Best Teacher Award for their innovative teaching methods, dedication to students’ growth, and long-lasting impact on society. Each awardee received a citation, and memento as a token of appreciation.

The programme commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and Saraswati Vandana, followed by cultural performances by students that added colour and vibrancy to the event. The auditorium was packed with students, parents, faculty members, and dignitaries, creating an atmosphere of joy and reverence.

Hon. Shri Sunil Rane, Founder and Chancellor of Atharva University, addressed the gathering and highlighted the pivotal role of teachers in nation building. “Teachers do not merely impart knowledge, they shape lives, values, and the future of our country. Today, we honour not just their profession, but their lifelong commitment to society,” he remarked.

Chief Guest Hon. Shri Yogesh Sagar, MLA of Charkop Constituency, congratulated the awardees and applauded their tireless service. “Technology may transform classrooms, but it can never replace the influence of a teacher. It is teachers who nurture future generations and strengthen the foundation of our society,” he said.

Many award-winning teachers expressed gratitude for the recognition, calling it both humbling and motivating. Several of them noted that such honours boosted their confidence and inspired them to continue innovating in the field of education.

The event concluded with the national anthem, leaving the audience with a renewed sense of respect for the teaching community. The ceremony stood as a reminder that teachers remain the true architects of the nation’s future.
