Film inspired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision; receives remarkable support across multiple Indian states

Prayagraj, February 10, 2026:
The trailer of The Diary of Manipur, the debut film of the much-talked-about “Kumbh Viral Girl” Monalisa, was unveiled in a grand and emotionally charged ceremony in  the sacred and historic city Prayagraj.

The trailer launch was attended by actress Monalisa, actors Amit Rao, Abhishek Tripathi (from Prayagraj), Dinesh Trivedi, director Sanoj Mishra, and members of the film’s core team. Hosting the launch amid one of the world’s most significant spiritual gatherings added a historic dimension to the occasion and amplified the film’s message.

The Diary of Manipur draws its inspiration from the vision and motivation of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The successful global scale of the Magh Mela provided a powerful platform for the film’s trailer, giving its message national and international visibility.

The film also received notable support during its Manipur schedule. Former Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh and the state administration extended full cooperation during the shoot. Given the film’s highly sensitive subject matter, the support ensured a smooth and respectful filming process in the region.

Similarly, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami played a key role in facilitating the film’s Uttarakhand schedule, even under challenging weather conditions. He also personally launched the film’s first poster, boosting the morale of the entire team.

Viral girl Monalisa, speaking at the event, said: “With the blessings of Maa Ganga, my life changed at the Magh Mela last year. To return here after completing my first film and launch its trailer at the same sacred place is deeply emotional and a moment of immense pride for me. I am grateful to director Sanoj Mishra for trusting me with a story that speaks the truth with sensitivity.”

Abhishek Tripathi, actor from Prayagraj, shared: “Launching this trailer in my hometown during the Magh Mela makes this moment incredibly special for me. This film tells a truthful and necessary story, and being part of it is a matter of great pride.”

Actor Amit Rao said “The Diary of Manipur is not just a film—it’s an experience. The honesty and sensitivity with which it has been made will surely connect with audiences.”

Actor Dinesh Trivedi added “Support from different states across the country has strengthened this film. It raises an important question that society needs to reflect upon.”

With its powerful subject, compelling performances, and realistic storytelling, The Diary of Manipur has already begun generating strong buzz. The grand trailer launch at the Magh Mela has further heightened curiosity and anticipation among audiences and the media alike.
