Kumar Taurani says, “Ishwar Ka Vo Sacha Banda is originally a Gujarati song Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye Je by Narsinh Mehta and one of my favourites soulful song and also Sung by Lata Mangeshkarji. A Mahatma Gandhi’s favourite song, I’m very happy & it’s an honour to recreate this genius in Hindi. It is a beautiful musical piece which deserves global love not just regional with the same thought I decided to recreate this beautiful Jewel in Hindi and reached out to Sameer Ji further adding “We have put together a melody in Sonu Nigam’s beautiful voice with Shameer Tandon’s rich music and I believe it comes out beautifully.”
Sonu Nigam says “Tips has been a part of my formative years and that’s why my respects for the Tauranis knows no boundaries. This when I was proposed to render this iconic song by Kumar Ji’s and Shamir Tandon, I knew I could only reply with my consent. I managed to record the song in my home studio in Dubai and as the lockdown opened up in Dubai, we managed to shoot the video extensively over a span of 2 days. Good work gives me peace. And Sachcha Banda is one such project”.
