Udyog Rattan Award-2022:
The Udyog Rattan Award (translated as The Jewel of the Industry Award) is presented annually to the citizens of India, for their outstanding contribution to the development of the country’s economy. The award is presented by the Institute of Economic Studies, India (IES), affiliated with the Indian government, and is selected by a panel of judges who are usually prominent citizens with economic backgrounds. Nominations are made by existing members, and care is taken that there is no bias or favoritism. There are usually hundreds of nominees and it takes a few weeks or sometimes months of scrutiny to be shortlisted and finalized the recipients.
